Champions, Final Yang Penuh Kejutan

Football can provide surprises that we never imagined before. The final of Tottenham Hotspur vs Liverpool happened because Ajax Amsterdam played an anticlimax in 45 minutes of the match.

This season's Champions League has given us many surprises. However, what Tottenham did at Johan Cruyff Arena was something different. The Lilywhites might do the best surprise in the Champions League this season.
How come. Mauricio Pochettino's side only had 45 minutes to turn things around by scoring three goals after their mental collapse in the first half because Ajax scored twice.

You can imagine how stressful and depressed Tottenham was in the second half. Must score three goals in 45 minutes, play under the pressure of tens of thousands of home fans, face a giant killer team, and play without his best striker in the last few seasons (Harry Kane).

A team will usually fall mentally if in Tottenham's position. Losing 0-1 in the first leg at home, conceding a quick goal in the second leg running for five minutes, and left behind two goals in the first round. However, the North London club played without burden in the second half and successfully turned things around.

Left behind by one goal when the second leg began, Tottenham tried to keep up with Ajax in the first leg of the second leg. The Tottenham defense played high enough to try to put pressure on Ajax. The return of Son Heung-min makes Tottenham attack more confident.
Tottenham played Spartans in the first round with Heung-min continuing to run tirelessly. However, the final settlement that was not calm made the visitors failed to score. On the contrary, Ajax was able to score with a header from Matthijs de Ligt (5 ') and a hard kick by Judge Ziyech (35').
The role of Llorente

At the start of the second half Pochettino put Fernando Llorente and pulled out Victor Wanyama. A substitution that made a big contribution to Tottenham's victory. In fact, if seen El Rey Leon's appearance is not too good, but is able to trouble Daley Blind, especially in holding the first ball to give Tottenham room to build an attack.

Tottenham actually had no clear strategy in the second half. They just tried to keep attacking, hoping Llorente could hold the ball and open space, and put as much body as possible on the Ajax defense.
Ajax was confused. The host again showed an anticlimactic game at home. Keep in mind De Godenzonen has never won at home in the knock-out phase of this season's Champions League. Erik ten Hag's side also looked stage frightful in the second half, especially after Lucas Moura scored the first goal in the 55th minute.

Tottenham's second goal scored by Moura in the 59th minute showed how Ajax's stage fright. After goalkeeper Andre Onana brilliantly blocked Llorente's header at the mouth of the goal, Lasse Schone and Onana actually scrambled the ball until both of them fell. Even though there was no pressure given by Tottenham. The ball was loose and cleverly Moura tricked Frenkie de Jong into breaking Ajax's goal.

When the position of Ajax's 2-2 draw was actually able to find the rhythm of the game again. Ajax is still in the air. Moreover, all nine goals at home to Ajax in the Champions League this season were created in the second round. An additional Ajax goal in the second half will make Tottenham difficult to comeback.

However, Dewi Fortuna favored Tottenham. Two Ziyech golden opportunities in the 63rd and 79th minutes were only thin on the left side of goalkeeper Hugo Lloris and hit the post. Instead Tottenham was able to score a winning goal dramatically during second half injury time entering the seventh minute.

Llorente won the duel against De Ligt while welcoming Moussa Sissoko's gastric pass. The ball fell to the feet of Dele Alli who cleverly sent a breakthrough bait to Moura. The Brazilian striker also fired a single touch of the left foot into the left corner of the goal without being able to stop Onana.

Scoring 3-2, Ajax dumped the final in sight, Tottenham qualified for the Champions League for the first time in the club's history, and the All English Final took place.
